The Ministry of Education has commented on reports on social media that a picture of 19-year-old Vusal Shahkarimov, who fought against the enemy as an artilleryman in the Great Patriotic War, will be on the cover of 11th grade history books. In response, the ministry said that the cover of the textbook is being prepared by the publishing house:
"Then the issue is agreed with the Ministry of Education. The issue of changing the cover of 11th grade history textbooks has not been discussed yet. However, writing stories about our heroes, making separate presentations about them, fully clarifying the historical facts and coming to the content of the textbook are on the agenda. It should be noted that 19-year-old Vusal Shahkarimov, who took part in the Great Patriotic War, was known for his heavy artillery fire during the fighting. These images have caused widespread discussion on social networks.
