All roads of national and local significance (2661 km) under occupation will be completely repaired and built. Anar Najafli, spokesman for the Azerbaijan State Agency of Motor Roads (AAYDA), told Trend. According to him, no road construction is underway in the direction of Agdam, only part of the road to Agdam has been repaired.
He added that projects are being prepared to restore road infrastructure in some liberated areas: "Today, according to the order of the President of Azerbaijan, our agency is engaged in the construction of the road to Sugovushan, from Sugovushan to the village of Talysh, as well as the Fuzuli-Shusha road." The head of the press service highlighted the R19, R29, R33 roads of national importance leading to the liberated territories: “R19 road will be built from Ganja to Kalbajar and Lachin. The R29 road will run from Barda to Tartar and from Tartar to Kalbajar. Another road, R33, starts from Agjabadi and continues along the Hindarkh-Agdam route.
Najafli said that the construction of the Hajigabul-Bahramtapa-Horadiz-Minjivan-Armenia border road is planned. The agency is currently preparing a plan for the Horadiz-Minjivan-Armenia border, which must be agreed with other government agencies. He added that it will be possible to reach Jabrayil, Gubadli and Lachin districts through this road.
