Approved by the Board of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 15, 2017, No. 5/2 The rules have been changed. According to the amendment, the number of academic leave for students has increased. The student will also be given academic leave until he or she is discharged from military service when called up for military service. Those returning from academic leave are admitted to the teaching process from the next semester.
Upon returning from academic leave, a student may be included in the list of students in other specialties with the consent of the Ministry of Education if the higher education institution where he / she previously studied did not train personnel in his / her specialty.
If he wants to continue his education in the specialty in which he previously studied, he may be transferred to another higher education institution, subject to the relevant requirements of Section 2 of these Rules. In both cases, the matter is considered by the Ministry of Education on the basis of an application from the relevant higher education institution. Academic leave is granted to a student in the following cases and periods: In case of conscription - for the period of service, in case of conscription for mobilization - up to discharge, for marital status - up to two years, for health - for the period specified in the certificate of the medical advisory commission, for social leave - for the period specified by law, various programs when going to study abroad on the basis of - for the period specified in the program.
