The state budget will be amended to reconstruct the liberated territories - OFFICIAL

"It is clear that the draft state budget and consolidated budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021 have not yet been submitted to the Milli Majlis for discussion due to the declared military situation in our country." The statement came from Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov. Sharifov said certain amendments will be made in the draft state budget for 2021:
"As a result of the counter-offensive of our victorious army led by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the occupation of the ancient lands of our country, which lasted for 30 years, was ended as a result of the defeat of Armenia and forcing it to sign a declaration of surrender. Reconstruction of all liberated territories, creation of socio-economic, energy, utilities, transport infrastructure, creation of conditions for living and business activities of our citizens returning to their native lands were considered as the top priority. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, "soon landscaping, construction and development will begin throughout Karabakh."
The Minister of Finance said that it is important to take appropriate security measures in the liberated areas first. This brings to the fore the activities of the Azerbaijani Army, Border Troops, internal affairs, security agencies, and the organization of demining in these areas. The establishment of financial support for the implementation of these tasks requires the relevant amendments to the draft state budget for 2021. "According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the implementation of infrastructure projects in the liberated territories has already begun. "By the order of the President, 50 million manat allocated from the President's Reserve Fund for the construction of the Ahmadbayli-Alkhanli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway has been started," Sharifov said.
