The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva has prepared an interim report on the loss of children as a result of rocket attacks by Azerbaijani armed forces on Azerbaijani civilian settlements and sent it to international organizations.
According to the agency, the main purpose of sending the report is the facts of human casualties, especially child deaths, as a result of heavy artillery shelling of civilian settlements in Azerbaijan from September 27 to November 9, 2020 by the Armenian armed forces, including international human rights organizations. was to present to the international community.
This report is based on the results of six fact-finding missions conducted by the Ombudsman to investigate gross human rights violations in the regions of Azerbaijan affected by Armenian armed attacks at various times. The report also said that a total of 12 children were killed and 50 were seriously injured as a result of the military provocations. At the same time, the report called on the international community to take preventive measures and react harshly to prevent further serious human rights violations in the future, as well as to prevent such cases within the norms and principles of international law.
