Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Irada Ibrahimova clarified the photo spread on social networks and some websites about the planting of pine trees instead of the Eastern plane tree planted in Fizuli and Zangilan. According to the ministry official, tree-planting actions were held in Fizuli and Zangilan, which were liberated from occupation.
The trees were planted in accordance with natural conditions and local tree species, ie Eastern plane trees were planted in accordance with the relief and climate of the charming Karabakh region, and seeds of the local oak species were sown.
Ibrahimova said that while broadcasting the planting of trees in Karabakh on social networks and some websites, photos of pine and cypress trees being planted in Absheron and other areas were mistakenly posted: "It justifiably caused dissatisfaction among the audience," he said. The picture explains why pine or cypress trees were planted. In fact, this is not the case. Eastern plane trees have been planted in Zangilan and Fizuli districts. Such campaigns will continue in other parts of Karabakh.
