Aide to the President on alarm about COVID-19 infection in Azerbaijan

"On a daily basis, the figures show that coronavirus infection is on the rise. The numbers have already exceeded 2,000, and the death toll from the infection is high. The statement came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Aide to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, at a briefing at the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, Gadin.Net reported. According to him, along with the Patriotic War, our struggle continues on the second front - the coronavirus front:
"Recently, there has been an increase in the number of coronavirus infections worldwide. Neighboring countries - Georgia, Russia, Iran, Turkey - show an increase in the number of infections. Infection is on the rise in the European Union, as well as in other parts of the world. The trend of increasing the number of COVID-19 infections in Azerbaijan on a daily basis is alarming. This is a matter of serious concern. "Given that we are in the Great Patriotic War, everyone is concerned about the number of coronavirus infections." He stressed that the treatment of wounded soldiers is one of the tasks in the health system: "The health care system works on two fronts. However, the increase in the number of coronavirus patients is worrying. "Whoever wants to contribute to the Great Patriotic War must follow the rules," he said.
