He spent 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit

A Tennessee man has spent 15 years in prison on a charge of murder he did not commit. This was reported by Unilad. In 1998, two men beat Lori Owens to death with a construction stone. Witnesses said the crime was committed by two African-Americans, and that one of the suspects' photographs was that of Joseph Webster. In 2006, a court found Webster guilty of murder based on eyewitness testimony. Webster, now 41, pleaded not guilty, but was sentenced to life in prison. As a result, he had to spend 15 years in prison. However, the prisoner's lawyer continued his personal investigation for many years and appealed to the court to reconsider the criminal case. At the same time, one of the witnesses changed his statement and the DNA of the convicted person was not found on the item used in the murder. Thus, the district prosecutor's office advised the judge to drop the charges. Thus, the court released Webster a few days ago. Webster, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, went to his mother immediately after his release and asked her to cook at home. Webster, who was released, said he was very attached to his family and missed his family every day he spent in prison.
