Images of the Azykh cave, located between the villages of Azykh and Salaket, where the Khojavend region was liberated on November 9, have been released.
Azykh Cave is famous as a settlement of the Stone Age people. The cave was discovered in 1960 by the "Paleolithic" archeological expedition of ANAS under the leadership of scientist Mammadali Huseynov. During the research, 10 cultural strata were discovered. A jaw belonging to a primitive man was found in the cave and it was determined that it lived during the Guruchay, Ashel and Mustye cultures.
