The joint statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on Nagorno-Karabakh helped to prevent bloodshed and stabilize the situation in the region.
The statement came from Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the settlement of humanitarian issues in Nagorno-Karabakh, RIA Novosti reported.The Russian President noted that the issue of helping the people of Karabakh to return to peaceful life is a very important and topical issue.Putin expressed hope that the activities of the humanitarian center on Karabakh, established by Russia, would be supported by international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE, as well as partners in the CIS.
