Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made statements on Karabakh at a group meeting of his party (AK Party). According to Qadin.Net, this was reported by Haber Global. He congratulated President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the victory: "I congratulate all my Azerbaijani brothers, including my friend Ilham Aliyev, on the liberation of their occupied lands and all of Karabakh.
"Turkey will take part in a joint peacekeeping force in the region with Russia to monitor and verify the implementation of the agreement." Erdogan also said that an agreement has already been signed: "A memorandum of understanding on the Turkish-Russian Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Inspection was signed this morning. This center will be established in the liberated lands of Azerbaijan. All measures will be taken by this center to prevent ceasefire violations in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Turkish leader noted that the 28-year occupation of Azerbaijan and Karabakh is officially coming to an end: "Karabakh is once again becoming a peaceful homeland, taking a peaceful place in the shadow of the moon."
