Traffic Police WARNING to drivers: "Do not turn the joy of victory into sorrow"

From the night until now, the population took to the streets with the joy of victory. We understand all road users, especially drivers, but there are benefits to being careful. The statement came from Colonel Vagif Asadov, Chief of the Traffic Police Department of the Baku Main Police Office. Asadov said that this historic day should be celebrated with dignity:
"Today, all the people are pouring into the streets and roads to share the joy of victory. However, some drivers, taking advantage of the current situation, grossly violate traffic rules. At the same time, pedestrians risk their safety by not crossing the crossings designated for them on the streets. Through you, we call on the participants of the movement not to allow moments that will turn the joy of victory into sorrow. In particular, drivers should drive in accordance with traffic rules so as not to pose a serious threat to their health, as well as those of other road users. Of course, we are citizens of this country, and like everyone, we are very happy with the good news of the victory of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Our joy knows no bounds, Long live Azerbaijan, long live the Azerbaijani Army. Despite all this, we ask the participants of the movement not to create conditions that will cause concern and justified dissatisfaction of our citizens. Let them not make mistakes in traffic, let them not turn our joy into sorrow. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) also said that the observations show that some drivers abuse such conditions, violate traffic rules, and pedestrians do not use the crossings designated for them, which poses a serious threat to other road users. . Therefore, we ask all road users to strictly follow the rules and refrain from actions that could violate public order and public safety. In order to make our victory more safe, and to prevent any accidents, vehicle owners must follow traffic rules, and pedestrians must use the crossings designated for them.
