An action to hang the Azerbaijani flag was held in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, on the occasion of November 9 - National Flag Day, as well as in support of the Patriotic War. The action was held with the joint support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Association, with the participation of members of the Buta Azerbaijan-Korea Friendship Association. The Azerbaijani flag is hung on the Lotte World Tower, the 5th tallest building in the world and the 1st on the Korean Peninsula. The Azerbaijani flag is hung from the "Sky Bridge" located at the top of the 123-storey building, which is 541 meters high. The flag action was met with great interest by the Koreans.
Thus, for the first time, the tricolor flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan was waved at the skyscraper, which was commissioned in 2017. Managers of the Lotte World Tower thanked the organizers of the event for waving the Azerbaijani flag in this skyscraper and said that they would soon implement a project to wave the flag of the Republic of Korea in the building, taking advantage of this exemplary project of Azerbaijan.
