Shusha is free and we have already returned to Shusha. This was stated by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his address to the nation from the Alley of Martyrs. The President said that we won Shusha on the battlefield: "This history will live forever. This is the day of our glorious victory. We did it not on the negotiating table, but on the battlefield. Despite all the statements, there are military ways to the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. I have said this many times. For almost 30 years, meaningless negotiations have yielded no results. For 30 years our ancient lands were under occupation.
The Armenian side just wanted to gain time with negotiations. However, we showed determination and courage and did not reach any agreement that did not meet the interests of the Azerbaijani people. I have stated in all international forums that the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is our main goal. We have fulfilled and are fulfilling this task. The call to prayer will be heard in Shusha again! ”
