The presidential aide exposed the "contributions" of the Armenian lobby to the occupation

In order to compensate for the huge losses on the battlefield, Armenia mobilizes the Armenian Diaspora abroad under the guise of non-governmental organizations and charities and raises funds for its army ("We are our borders - All for Artsakh" donation campaign, Armenia Fund, Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Canadian Medical Association of Ontario, Fund for Armenian Relief, Tufenkian Foundation, Armenian Relief Society, etc.) ”. The statement came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration. He noted that the funds obtained through non-governmental organizations and charities run by the Armenian Diaspora are used to finance the Armenian army operating in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, thus contributing to further attacks by Armenia against the civilian population of Azerbaijan: "Correspondence between Armenians living abroad on social media and networks proves this.

This is not the first time that the Armenian Diaspora abroad has misused non-governmental organizations and charities to use illegal funds to strengthen illegal activities and occupation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as well as to purchase weapons for the occupying army. Over the past 30 years, the Armenian Diaspora has been active in this direction and deceived the taxpayers of relevant foreign countries. At the same time, illegal funds were transferred to the so-called occupied regime of Azerbaijan without any control mechanism, which means the financing of terrorism. Activities by non-profit organizations in the above areas in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, as well as UN Security Council Resolutions 1373 (2001), 2178 (2014), 2195 (2014) and 2347 (2017) is considered to be the financing of terrorism, and states must take preventive measures to prevent such incidents. In this regard, Azerbaijan calls on UN member states to prevent the use of their territories to finance Armenian terrorism against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
