Saudi Arabia is abolishing its guarantee system for foreigners to boost its economic activity.Instead, a "contractual relationship" system is applied.This is stated in a written statement issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.It is noted that the aim is to improve the conditions between foreign workers and the employer in the country.
The new system, which aims to strengthen the foreign labor market and increase the country's attractiveness to foreigners, will come into force in March 2021.It should be noted that the guarantee system is based on the principle that a foreign worker can find a Saudi citizen as a guarantor for a certain salary. A person without a guarantee cannot obtain a work permit in the country.
