Coronavirus is more dangerous than ever. Studies have shown that the coronavirus mutates and, as a result, has a more lethal effect. For this reason, experts say that the second wave of the pandemic could be more difficult, Qadin.Net reports quoting Baku TV. According to Dr. Adil Geybulla, the virus tends to weaken when mutated, but there are some deadly forms: "It is possible to cope with a small amount of the virus, but in large quantities it is fatal." Experts say that the new type of coronavirus is 260 times more dangerous than a year ago. This also creates problems for antiviral drugs or vaccines.
The new study analyzed smear samples taken from patients in 11 different cities. It turned out that each pattern is a different mutation. Thus, in one study alone, 30 mutations were identified, 19 of which are unknown to science. According to doctor Ramin Narima, the virus is less likely to weaken in the summer: "There are already studies in some European countries that the coronavirus has mutated. Studies show that mutations in the coronavirus lead to its aggression. In this regard, the activity of the coronavirus is expected to increase within 4-6 weeks. In the first six months of the year, coronavirus-infected people died 13 days after the onset of symptoms such as cough and fever, and in the second half of the year, patients died faster.
