Khankendi is empty: 40,000 people have fled to Armenia

At least 70 percent of Khankendi residents have fled to Armenia, which means 40,000 people.The mayor of the city David Sargsyan said this in an interview with Sputnik.

According to him, about 17,000 people remain in the city. The separatist regime is preparing to evacuate those residents as well.At the same time, due to the lack of transport in Khankendi, the city "administration" is trying to provide the remaining population with food and essential necessities.
