The death toll from the earthquake in Izmir was 51.Haber Global reports that 682 of the 896 injured were released.Aide to the Turkish President Fuat Oktay, who was at the scene, provided the latest information on the quake.According to him, the damage caused by the earthquake must be assessed within ten days.
Oktay noted that 26 severely damaged buildings will be demolished immediately.He said 3,880 tents would be set up for 21,000 people and warned citizens not to enter damaged buildings.
