WARNING from the ministry regarding the next enemy provocation

Defeated on the front, the Armenian side continues its failed provocations in cyberspace. The statement came from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. It was stated that the enemy was once again sending "phishing" emails on behalf of the ministry. These fake emails ask users to register and confirm their emails within 48 hours by accessing the link provided in the letter. Otherwise, those users will not be able to use their emails. In order to increase the reliability of the false letter, the text shall include the flag and coat of arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the logo of the ministry, the address and the name of the official.

The purpose is to capture relevant information by distracting users, forcing them to access malicious links, and thus finding access to the equipment and network used by those individuals. The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies says that this information does not reflect the truth and is provocative. It should be noted that the fact that many users access their e-mails using a VPN Internet connection poses a very serious risk to these individuals and the networks of the organizations they represent. Users are asked to be extremely careful at this time, not to rely on such information and act immediately. At the same time, before entering the links and providing personal information, they should check the address of the letter and the accuracy of the information from an official source using different means of communication. We would like to emphasize once again that this format of information is especially an attempt to "phishing". Also, if citizens face such situations, they should apply to the Electronic Security Service through the hotline 1654 and 1655, the website www.cert.az or e-mail [email protected]
