UNICEF has issued a statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, calling for the protection of children. The statement said:“Eight-year-old Aysu, Shahriyar, 13 years old, Arthur, 13 years old, Farid, 14 years old, Fidan, 15 years old, Nigar, 15 years old, Orkhan, 16 years old.
These are, as you know, the names and ages of some of the children killed during the month-long fighting. ”It is noted that countless children suffer from the psychological effects of rocket attacks on civilian areas every day:"These are horrific numbers of child casualties as a result of four weeks of fighting and three unfulfilled ceasefire agreements."
