The website of the Russian Ministry of Health has updated the recommendations for the treatment of COVID-19.

The document names the drugs recommended for the prevention of coronavirus. The report recommends that healthy people and patients at risk (the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases) use two drugs - "recombinant IFN-α" in the form of drops or sprays, or "umifenovir" 200 mg twice a week for three weeks. After contact with infected people, umifenovir in combination with hydroxychloroquine or recombinant interferon alfa is recommended for prophylaxis.
The list of drugs recommended for the treatment of coronavirus includes six names - favipiravir, hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin (with hydroxychloroquine), interferon-alpha, as well as remdesivir and umifenovir.
