Turkish Foreign Ministry reacts to Armenian attack on Barda

Despite the ceasefire announced yesterday, Armenia's ongoing attacks on civilian areas far from the war zone in Azerbaijan undermine all human and moral values.

The statement came from the Turkish Foreign Ministry in connection with the Armenian army's missile strikes on the city of Barda.

"Four civilians, one of them a two-year-old child, were killed and 13 were injured in the attack of the Armenian armed forces against the city of Barda this evening. We wish God's mercy to our brothers who died, immediate healing to the wounded, and condolences to the people of Azerbaijan.

We strongly condemn this inhumane attack by Armenia and call on countries of conscience and responsibility to stop the war crimes committed by Armenia. "Despite the fact that Armenia has violated the ceasefire announced by the Minsk Group co-chairs every time, we consider it meaningful that the co-chairs did not react to these ceasefire violations," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
