At today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, the draft amendments to the law "On military service and military service" were discussed in the third reading.
According to Gadin.Net, the essence of the proposed amendment to the law is that citizens who voluntarily join the staff of the relevant executive body, as a rule, become carriers of state secrets.
Prior to the amendment, when a citizen was voluntarily enlisted as an officer, he or she could be discharged after 1 year and 6 months of service. These persons (those who voluntarily join the same staff of officers) are transferred directly to the staff of officers through evaluation with the current change.
Only in the positions of officers (here the employees of the State Security Service, the State Border Service and the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan) on a calendar basis (military service and military service) in accordance with Article 41.0.9 of the Law and 156 of the Regulations on Military Service may be released from the reserve after at least 10 years of service in accordance with Article
