"We are restoring historical justice on the battlefield. Nagorno-Karabakh is a historical land of Azerbaijan. For centuries, Azerbaijan has lived and built on these lands. We know the history of Karabakh well and great work has been done in recent years to convey it to the world community. In the early 1990s, the world did not have such a great idea about Azerbaijan.
This was stated by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his address to the nation.
According to the President, Armenian lobbying organizations operating in many countries have been able to create a distorted image in world public opinion by misinforming both the history of the region and the history of the conflict:
"That is why sanctions have been imposed on us as our lands have been occupied. These sanctions are still in force. In the first stage of our independence, the US Congress imposed sanctions on Azerbaijan.

Ilham Aliyev noted that as a result of consistent activities in recent years, we have informed the world community about the history of Karabakh and the conflict:
