Pakistan's prime minister has called on Facebook to block anti-Islamic comments

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has called on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to ban anti-Islamic comments on social media.

He wrote his appeal on Twitter.

"Given the increase in violence and slander on social media platforms, I ask that the ban on the Holocaust on Facebook be applied to the issue of Islamophobia and hatred of Islam," Khan said.

According to him, pressure on Muslims has increased in various parts of the world. He mainly mentioned the spread of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in France, as well as anti-Muslim laws in India.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan noted that Islam has been linked to terrorism in France.

"This will further polarize and exclude Muslims in France," he added.
