"Immediately after the Armenian Prime Minister's statement on the observance of the humanitarian ceasefire at 08:00, the Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of Lachin region," he said.
The statement came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
According to Hajiyev, the civilian population of Tartar region and surrounding villages was fired upon by the Armenian armed forces:
"Also, our positions in Gadabay, Tovuz and Dashkesan regions of Armenia were fired from the territory of Berd, Chambarak and Vardenis regions, respectively.
Following the Moscow statement on October 10, Armenia fired on the civilian population of Ganja with a ballistic missile. The Armenian side also grossly violated the French-brokered humanitarian ceasefire on October 18.
All this shows once again that Armenia supports the humanitarian ceasefire in words, but in practice, hiding behind the humanitarian ceasefire, Azerbaijan uses its armed forces and civilians to fire, concentrate its forces and gain new positions.
Armenia's goal is to maintain and strengthen the status quo based on occupation.
The Azerbaijani side is showing restraint. Information on violations of the humanitarian ceasefire is being collected and the relevant co-chairs are being informed.
"Armenia is responsible for the next violation of the humanitarian ceasefire."
