Nowadays, people use masks not to protect their health and protect against coronavirus, but to avoid being fined when using public transport and going to the shops.
According to TASS, this was stated by the head of the ENT clinic in Russia, PhD Vladimir Zaytsev.
According to him, the mask should cover the nose and mouth, not the chin.
"Wearing the mask incorrectly can lead to coronavirus infection," he warned.
The doctor noted that a mask can be worn for a maximum of several hours.
"But some people wear the same mask for weeks," he said, adding that the approach was wrong.
Zaitsev said that if you are caught on a handle on public transport, if you press the buttons on the intercom, elevator or ATM, do not touch the face, nose or eyes.
He said another mistake people make is that they rarely use hand sanitizers in shops, malls and other public places.
However, he called the failure to maintain social distance the biggest mistake.
