After the Azerbaijani army launched a counterattack, Armenia is trying to attack our country in the information environment, using all means and resources. At the same time, the other side is trying to form a negative opinion about Azerbaijan in the international arena by disseminating information, videos and photos that do not reflect the truth.
The statement came from the Defense Ministry.
The fake videos and photos show allegedly ill-treatment of Azerbaijani soldiers by Armenian captives and corpses outside the norms established by international law.
We reiterate that the Azerbaijani Army, unlike the Armenian armed forces, treats prisoners of war, wounded enemy servicemen, civilians, including the corpses, in accordance with the requirements of the Geneva Conventions and the protocols attached to them, as well as shows compassion and respect.
The behavior of an Azerbaijani soldier is based on the idea of respecting the human person and his dignity, and during the combat operation, unlike the Armenian military, our servicemen distinguish between civilians, civilians and military facilities.
