The cemetery in the Hafik district of Turkey's Sivas province was flooded.
According to Gadin.Net, Haber Global reports that the village cemetery under the dam was discovered when the water was withdrawn, and the villagers, who went to the cemetery to pray, were horrified when they saw the bones of their relatives. Underwater graves in some places have also attracted attention.
The Pusat drinking water and irrigation reservoir, which was completed in 2009, flooded the Pusat and Maden village cemeteries. This year, when irrigation was carried out for agriculture, the dam was emptied and graves that had been flooded for a long time were discovered.
Villagers expressed concern over the situation and demanded that the cemetery be relocated.
