Vladimir Solovyov, a TV journalist working for the Russian media, has repeatedly come up with his strong pro-Armenian stance.
Inviting Armenian experts to the program "Sunday evening with Solovyov" broadcast on Russia-1 TV channel, Solovyov expressed a neutral and unfair position on the Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenian experts invited to the broadcast voiced opinions that did not reflect the truth.
Solovyov admitted in his own words that he was pro-Armenian. Years ago, one of the TV channels said that his mother, father and even his wife were Armenians. According to him, neither his parents nor his wife have so far expressed their displeasure with the Armenians:
"I have many Armenian friends. I have met too many Armenians in my life, but I have never seen any harm from them. I know that there are many different people from different nationalities. But the point is that all my life I have received warmth, love and respect from Armenians. I have always been interested in the land where such beautiful people grow. I know that Azerbaijanis will not forgive me. I often visit Armenia. When I say Armenia, I mean not only Yerevan, but also Nagorno-Karabakh. "
