Today, information was spread on social networks about the lifting of restrictions on Internet access across the country.
It was stated that there are no more restrictions.
We contacted the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
Spokeswoman Gunel Gozalova told Oxu.Az that there is internet in Azerbaijan, but restrictions have been imposed to prevent large-scale provocations by Armenia.
"There is no new decision to lift this restriction yet. If such a decision is made, the ministry will definitely inform the public. "
Gozalova noted that since September 27, the number of cyber attacks in the country has increased five to six times compared to ordinary days:
"Incoming calls from foreign countries, hacking of webcams, mass attacks on routers and modems, attacks on news sites, falsification of social network accounts, phishing attacks.
21% of the indicators are related to the seizure of social network accounts, 25% to the placement of illegal information on Internet information resources. One of the best ways to prevent cyber attacks on Azerbaijan from abroad is to slow down the Internet and, in many cases, impose restrictions.
Otherwise, the enemy may launch a cyber attack, damage Azerbaijan's infrastructure and steal certain information via the Internet. In this regard, the Internet is restricted during military operations around the world.
