For the first time, the Moldovan government has officially reacted to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Tsulya congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
At the same time, he expressed his country's support for the territorial integrity of the Azerbaijani state.
Tsulya likened the incident to the situation in Transnistria, emphasizing that Moldova knows best what the frozen conflict is. The Minister stressed the importance of a peaceful settlement of these issues and expressed confidence that the armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be stopped due to the efforts of the international community.
