Against the background of the liberation of our occupied lands by the Azerbaijani army from the enemy's footsteps, there are rumors about the past and present of a number of historical monuments that have been subjected to Armenian vandalism.
One of them is the museum-mausoleum complex of the Azerbaijani poet Molla Panah Vagif.
It is clear from the shares that this place, which once added a special touch to the beauty of Shusha, was savagely destroyed during the occupation.
It should be noted that the mausoleum was opened in 1982. Heydar Aliyev, then First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, also attended the opening.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev recalled this incident in an interview with TRT Haber on October 5:
“I remember that in 1982 my late father and I went to Nagorno-Karabakh - Shusha. The mausoleum of our great poet Vagif was opened. At the opening ceremony of this mausoleum, Armenian and Azerbaijani poets recited poems in the Azerbaijani language, in the Armenian language. It was a holiday of friendship. That is, it is a scene I have witnessed. "
The complex was built on the tomb of the great poet near the plain of Cidir, the most beautiful place in Shusha. About 80 exhibits reflecting the life of MP Vagif Shusha were also displayed here.
As a result of the occupation of Shusha by the Armenian armed forces in May 1992, the building of the complex and dozens of exhibits on display were destroyed, and the exhibits that could be transported were taken to Armenia.
