The computer keyboard is the most "dangerous" thing in the office: untreated keys can contain various bacteria, intestinal infections, as well as coronavirus.
According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by Irina Shilkina, a specialist in infectious diseases in the Moscow region of the Russian Ministry of Health.
"Computer keyboards are the most contagious thing, especially in the office. Few people do it because it is difficult to clean. As a result, pathogenic bacteria, viruses and infections, including COVID-19, can accumulate on the buttons, ”Shilkina warned.
According to him, it is important to wash your hands before starting work on the keyboard. The same thing should be done later, because the bacteria circulating in the air are often located on the surface of the buttons.
"Hands need to be washed properly: at least 1.5 minutes, not just rubbing, but circular and rubbing movements," said the infectious disease specialist.
