"Despite the fact that Armenia is both an aggressor and a violator of the ceasefire, the goal of the countries putting pressure on Azerbaijan is not to stop the war."
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a speech at a group meeting of the AKP (Justice and Development Party).
According to him, the missile strike on civilian areas in Azerbaijan means that their goal is different:
"As Turkey, we will defend and stand by Azerbaijan with all our being."
He noted that currently about 100,000 Armenians live in Turkey:
"It simply came to our notice then. We have never shown a negative attitude towards them. But the Armenians occupied the lands of our Azerbaijani brothers. The Azerbaijani population was forced to leave their lands.
Now Azerbaijan wants its occupied lands, there is no other demand. That's what they want. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - the United States, France and Russia, especially France - are still using the tactic of joining and delaying the resolution of the issue.
Here is the fact of occupation. If there are human rights and democracy in the world, and you have been authorized to solve this problem for 30 years, you must end the discussions as soon as possible and return those lands to their owners.
Can a discussion last for 30 years? They have been dating for 30 years. They sit, talk and disperse. This is not a long-term issue. Give the lands. And now the situation has reached this point. We are called that we are allegedly sending Mujahideen from Syria to Nagorno-Karabakh. We do not have such a problem. We have supported Azerbaijan and will continue to do so. "
