According to The Lancet, experts from the University of Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany have warned about this.
Scientists have examined people aged 51-94 who died of the coronavirus. As a result, coronavirus was detected in brain cells and neurons in 53% of 43 autopsies. Another 14 percent were diagnosed with ischemic injury and 86 percent with astrogliosis.
However, the researchers noted that COVID-19 did not cause significant changes in the brain and did not have a devastating effect on the central nervous system.
