A humanitarian ceasefire has started between Azerbaijan and Armenia

A ceasefire will be declared today at 12:00 for the exchange of bodies of prisoners of war and other detainees and the dead, in accordance with the criteria of the International Committee of the Red Cross for humanitarian purposes.

The statement came from the Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia as a result of a meeting held in Moscow on October 9-10 at the initiative of the Russian side.

According to the statement, the specific parameters of the ceasefire will be agreed in addition.

The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia will begin substantive talks to resolve the conflict peacefully as soon as possible on the basis of the basic principles of settlement through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.

The parties confirmed the immutability of the negotiation format.

It should be noted that on September 27, the occupying power provoked Azerbaijan on all fronts. In response, the Azerbaijani army launched a counter-offensive. Over the past period, our armed forces have liberated the strategically important village of Sugovushan, the city of Jabrayil, the settlement of Hadrut and dozens of other villages.
