The "Rules for control over the calculation and payment of insurance premiums on compulsory health insurance" were approved.
The decision approved by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov will come into force on January 1, 2024.
Thus, control over the calculation and payment of insurance premiums is carried out by the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance through a database on compulsory medical insurance.
The rate of annual insurance premiums for the insured is set at 48% of the minimum monthly salary and, accordingly, the insurance premium is paid in full to the compulsory health insurance fund by January 15 for each calendar year.
If the obligation to pay the insurance premium arises during the calendar year, the insurance premium for these persons is calculated by dividing by 12 and multiplying by the number of subsequent months before the end of the year, including the month in which the obligation arose.
Control over the calculation of the insurance premium to be paid by the insured is carried out electronically on the insured's FIN through the agency's database from the moment the obligation to pay the insurance premium arises.
Control over the payment of insurance premiums is carried out through the database of the agency, and the report on the insured who have not paid the insurance premiums is generated in real time.
In case of non-payment of insurance premiums, except for primary health care, emergency and urgent medical care, medical services are provided to the insured within the service package at their own expense.
