Indian scientists have developed a low-cost paper-based coronavirus test called Feluda.
This was reported by the BBC.
It is estimated that the Feluda, which will announce the results in less than an hour, will cost 500 rupees (about 11.6 AZN).
Researchers at the Delhi Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology have already tested the test on 2,000 patients. The new test was found to have 96 percent sensitivity and 98 percent specificity.
The Indian Drug Regulatory Authority has approved the test for commercial use.
