There are planets in space that are more suitable for life than Earth. US and German astrobiologists have come to this conclusion after a long study.
According to RIA Novosti, the results of the study were published in the journal Astrobiology.
Scientists have collected data on heat, humidity and other environmental factors of 4,500 exoplanets. Of these, 24 planets older than Earth, larger, warmer and wetter, were selected.
According to the authors, life on such planets had the opportunity to develop in higher forms than on Earth.
All 24 of these planets are more than a hundred light-years from Earth.
In the future, they are expected to be studied by NASA's James Webb and LUVIOR, as well as the European Space Agency's PLATO space telescopes.
