At present, the armed forces of the occupying country are firing heavy artillery at the civilian settlements of Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, starting from 10 o'clock today.
This was stated in a statement issued by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The occupying country's armed forces carried out operations on the instructions of the Armenian military-political leadership, deliberately targeting the civilian population of Azerbaijan, in gross violation of the norms and principles of international law, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, UN Security Council resolutions. Heavy artillery shells the densely populated areas of the Azerbaijani city of Ganja, which do not belong to the region.
The prosecutor's office at the scene is carrying out investigative measures to clarify the list of victims and civil infrastructure facilities.
