Plastic rods were banned in the UK

Sticks used to mix drinks are banned in the UK.
According to Gadin.Net, Korrespondent.net reports that the ban came into force on October 1.
In addition, plastic sticks and cotton swabs are included in the list of prohibited products. The ban on the use of disposable plastic products was supposed to come into force in April, but was postponed due to quarantine.
The British Minister for the Environment, George Justis, said the government was committed to solving the problem of disposable plastic products: "This is our commitment to protect our environment and our oceans for future generations."
The UK uses about 5 billion plastic straws, 316 million plastic sticks and 1.8 billion plastic cotton swabs each year.
