"The counter-offensive operation of the Azerbaijani Army continues successfully."
The statement came from Defense Ministry spokesman Anar Eyvazov at a briefing today, Gadin.Net reports.
Eyvazov said that at the end of the 5th day of the operation, the enemy suffered heavy losses: "The enemy was forced to retreat in different directions."
The Defense Ministry spokesman said that the information given by the Armenian media about the alleged shooting down of Azerbaijani helicopters and planes and their landing in Iran was incorrect. Air defense equipment, 6 command and control posts, 5 ammunition depots, more than 110 vehicles and 1 S-300 anti-aircraft missile system were destroyed.
Anar Eyvazov also noted that the battle flag of the enemy regiment was seized yesterday. Victory is with us! ”
