Armenian armed forces continue to fire on Azerbaijani settlements using heavy artillery and other large-caliber weapons.
As a result of deliberate and targeted artillery shelling of settlements by the Armenian armed forces, 17 civilians, including two children, were killed and 51 were injured. Public and private property were damaged.
The statement came from Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration:
"Armenia's actions show that it is a country outside of civil values and that it is once again a country that commits treacherous attacks on civilians and children," he said. Targeting or deliberately killing civilians during hostilities is a war crime. The Armenian state and the political leadership of Armenia are responsible for this.
As another act of aggression against our country, today the territory of Azerbaijan came under rocket fire from the direction of the Gorus region of Armenia. This is the second attack on Azerbaijan from Armenia.
The first attack was carried out from the Vardenis region of Armenia. As a result of the missile strike, about 20 houses were damaged in the newly built IDP village of Jojug Marjanli.
We warn the Armenian side that if the attacks on Azerbaijan from the territory of Armenia are not stopped, adequate measures will be taken against the legitimate military targets firing.
