"The movement of the Armenian army, which tried to attack our positions in the direction of the occupied village of Ashagi Veysalli in the Fizuli region, was resolutely prevented by our units and the enemy was forced to retreat."
The statement came from Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Vagif Dargahli.
"The bodies of the Armenian soldiers killed during the retreat remained on the battlefield," he said.
