 As a result of the provocation committed by Armenia, we are witnessing the escalation of the situation on the frontline and the increase of provocations from the other side. These provocations also continue in the cyber environment. Thus, recently, mass attacks on social network accounts, network devices - routers or modems of our country, attempts to create fear or anxiety by spreading misinformation among people.

The statement came from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

Today, everyone's access to mobile technology and the Internet can potentially make everyone a participant and victim of the information war, the report said.

"It is at this time that it is especially important for each of us to be especially sensitive to the issue of cyber security and to follow the rules of cyber security.

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies once again calls on citizens to be vigilant in the current situation and follow simple cyber security rules:

Do not access any links sent to you by strangers on your phone or email on social media, or download any file or application.

Do not trust or respond to messages and calls from unfamiliar numbers. Even if you know the source, first check the accuracy of the message.

Pay attention to the origin and reliability of the applications used on your phone. Some applications may steal your personal information without your knowledge. Delete applications you are not using.

Do not rely on every piece of information and act immediately. Be skeptical of every notice you receive and check its authenticity from an official source.

Follow the simplest cybersecurity rules for your social media accounts, devices, and all devices connected to the Internet. Remember, every device connected to the Internet is a cyber threat in itself.

Do not use standard usernames and passwords, including weak passwords. Change such passwords without delay.

Update your software regularly and use antivirus software.

Regularly educate yourself and those around you about cyber threats and how to protect yourself from them.
