The bears returned to Chernobyl 100 years later

More than 100 years later, bears have returned to Ukraine's Chernobyl zone, and the population of wolves and lynx has increased significantly.
This was reported by the BBC, citing publika.az.
According to Chernobyl researcher Sergei Gashak, the return of the giant predator to the region may be due to the lack of human activity and agriculture in the area.
"Bears can be found in almost the entire area. But the numbers are not many yet. "They have migrated, most likely from Belarus."
The exact number of these animals in the Chernobyl zone has not been determined.
"Nowhere else in Ukraine is there such a high concentration of wolves, because people are watching these animals. The only obstacle to the growth of the wolf population here is themselves, "Gashak said.

Due to the high efficiency of their hunts, these animals live halfway. Scientists say there is even evidence that wolves eat apples.
