In Austria, a man received a refund for a ticket to the moon in 1964.
In the same year, journalist Gerhart P. went to the Vienna tourist office on behalf of the editorial office, Qadin.Net reports with reference to publlika.az. As a result, he became the first person in the world to buy a ticket to the moon. He books tickets for 500 shillings (36.50 euros).
At the time, the bureau's managers took it as a joke, but the buyer claimed to be serious and was sold a ticket. The journalist is offered a room at the Crater Hotel.
After Gerhart, 93,000 people book tickets to the moon.
"In 1969, I was even allowed to meet the lunar tourist Neil Armstrong, but I never saw the money I paid for the first time," said the 83-year-old journalist.
According to him, although he had long forgotten about the incident, he remembered it a few weeks ago. His flight was canceled and a meeting was arranged for him at the Vienna Transport Office with Ilza, who sold him a ticket to the moon.
The journalist was given a voucher for 50 euros for the ticket.
