In 2020, the amount of each Nobel Prize will be increased to 10 million Swedish kronor (1,883,000 AZN).
According to Gadin.Net, RIA Novosti quoted the Nobel Foundation as saying.
It is noted that since 2012, the fund's investment capital has increased from 3 billion kroner (AZN 564,900,000) to 4.6 billion kroner (AZN 866,180,000), which has increased the income from which five Nobel Prizes are awarded annually.
Until 2011, the Nobel Prize was 10 million crowns. Due to the decrease in the fund's income, the amount of the award was reduced to 8 million kroner (AZN 1,506,400) from that year.
In 2017, the prizes were raised to 9 million kroner (AZN 1,694,700).
